Directions – How to arrive to Pais de Cima

By Bus:

We recommend “Rede expressos” bus company. (www.rede-expressos.pt)
Directions or Mimosa (faster trip) or Cercal do Alentejo.

From Lisboa: main station “Terminal Rodoviário Sete Rios”.
Week days to “Mimosa”: 14h, 14,15h, 18h. 2 hours.
In Mimosa get a taxi to herdade João Pais de Cima/Foros dos Vales.
Week days to Cercal do Alentejo: 7,30h, 15h, 17,30h. 3 hour
In Cercal get a taxi to herdade João Pais de Cima/Foros dos Vales.

By car - Direction North South:

By Highway A-2 – direction South – Algarve
• Exit - BEJA/FERREIRA.
• After paying – go straight ahead – Algarve, then “Algarve/Ourique” by the road IC1.
• In “Mimosa”, at the end… turn right direction “Cercal, Lagos.
• In Alvalade at the roundabout, second exit.
• Drive a few Km’s, you should pass a little village call Fornalhas, and later another call Bicos.
• At the end of Bicos count 2,5 Km and drive slowly. You’ll find on the left one direction sign: “Foros dos Vales” and another one “João Pais de Cima” at bus stop.
• Turn left by that dirt road.
• Follow that road, at the end of some little houses you’ll find “Pais de Cima - Jampaias” sign at the entrance of the farm ahead.
• Go on by the road on the right until you find the houses and barns.

By the regular road:
• EN IC1 - direction Algarve.
• In "Mimosa at the end of the village turn right direction Cercal road N262.
• Drive trough a small bridge, In Alvalade at the roundabout, second exit.
• Drive a few Km’s, you should pass a little village call Fornalhas, and later another call Bicos.
• At the end of Bicos count 2,5 Km and drive slowly. You’ll find on the left one direction sign: "Foros dos Vales".

You can also drive by Setúbal/Tróia on ferry boat (if you are lucky you can see some dolphins where the river Sado meets the Ocean).
• In Tróia, directions Algarve/Cercal do Alentejo.
• in Cercal direction Alvalade/Lisboa, Have a look to our map!
• You should turn right before “Bicos” at bus stop by the small sign “João Pais de Cima” "Foros dos Vales"

By car - Direction South/North:

If You come from Faro, region of East Algarve or South of Spain:
We recommend to drive by the motorway A2 direction “Lisboa”, then exit 11, after payment, direction “Cercal do Alentejo”.
• Right before “Mimosa” you should turn left to Cercal, Lagos, pass in a small bridge.
• In Alvalade at the roundabout, second exit.
• Road N262.
• You should drive trough a little village call Fornalhas, and later another one call Bicos.
• At the end of Bicos count 2,5 Km and drive slowly. You’ll find on the left one direction sign "Foros dos Vales".

If You come from Portimão, Lagos region of West Algarve:
You either drive by the motorway A22 direction East, after Albufeira exit you should take direction “Lisboa” on A2, then exit 11, after payment, direction “Cercal do Alentejo”.
• Right before “Mimosa” you should turn left to Cercal, Lagos, pass in a small bridge.
• In Alvalade at the roundabout, second exit "Foros dos Vales".

Or either…
By the road near the West coast Vila do Bispo, Aljezur on N 120, pass trough Rogil, Maria Vinagre, Odeceixe, São Teotónio, Boavista dos Pinheiros.
• In the roundabout direction Vila Nova de Milfontes – 2nd exit.
• On the road N393.
• After the bridge in a roundabout: Direction Cercal.
• in Cercal direction Alvalade/Lisboa, Have a look to our map!
• You should turn right before “Bicos” at bus stop by the small sign “João Pais de Cima” "Foros dos Vales".

By Train:

Nearest location Alvalade.
